Forage Gas Relief Valve

One‑way venting for better fermentation, lower spoilage, and fewer popped bags.

Developed by Feed Stuff Bagging, the Forage Gas Relief Valve (Auto Bag Valve) is a simple, field‑proven solution that lets excess fermentation gases escape without letting oxygen back in. By maintaining a slight internal pressure while blocking air from re‑entering, it supports more stable fermentation, a lower final pH, and improved feed value.

Why Choose Our Forage Gas Relief Valve

  • One‑Way Oxygen Control Releases excess CO₂ while preventing oxygen from re‑entering the bag — helping protect silage from heating and surface spoilage.
  • Optimized Pressure Setting Holds ~½ lb of pressure to push oxygen out naturally before venting, supporting a more consistent anaerobic environment.
  • Side‑Venting 2.5 Model The 2.5 design vents from the sides to keep out debris and rain, and it seals better for reliable performance during gassing periods.
  • Integrated Installer Tool Built‑in tool simplifies installation and helps you place the valve correctly and consistently.
  • Durable & Reusable Designed for repeated seasonal use with proper handling and storage.

Available Options

  • Forage Gas Relief Valve — Model 2.5 (side‑venting, improved seal, integrated installer)
  • Single valves or multi‑pack options
  • Replacement gaskets (as available)

Performance Highlights

  • Supports better fermentation by maintaining anaerobic conditions
  • Helps reduce bag popping and emergency venting at night
  • Minimizes oxygen re‑entry that can lead to heating and spoilage
  • Works with all common silage bag sizes and major bagger brands
  • Simple install; easy to clean and reuse

Application Guide

  • Step 1: Fill and seal the bag as normal.
  • Step 2: Install the valve using the integrated tool at the top‑side of the bag (placement guidance provided with the product).
